- Marlie has a nice layer of new growth on her bald head. I guess I can stop covering her head with pink hats so strangers can stop calling her "cute, little guy." I know she is happy about that (she hates hats)!
- She is making progress on rolling over. She just gets her arm stuck underneath her and can't complete the rotation...we're working on that.
- She has added sitting up to her "to-do list." I watch her and her daddy practicing leaning forward and balancing and think about her walking out the door for her first day of school, her first date, for college...*sniff*
- She is getting better at napping in the daytime, still wants to be swaddled at night.
- She is such a vocal baby! She coos, babbles, and just "talks" a blue streak except when she is having a bowel movement...she gets really quiet, blinks rapidly and sticks out her tongue. I call it her "poo face."
- We won a weehuggers AIO bamboo cloth diaper from the blog Newly Wed Newly Bred. I have to admit the all-in-one is very convenient and bamboo is a great material for cloth diapers (naturally absorbent and antibacterial).
- Her grandmother arrived yesterday, which means...I got an extra pair of hands for diaper changes, and I can get some sleep! Hooray for granny Marge!
Baby Log: Week 13

The excitement of Marlie's first Thanksgiving and Christmas has got me in a tizzy with preparations for her baptism and hosting family for the holidays. I realized I was slacking on the journal-writing and picture-taking, but I got just enough content for this week's baby log:

She is getting so big!
"poo face" cracked me up
She is so beautiful! You are so lucky to have Grandma there. They are such a big help.
Gosh, she is getting SO big. I love it when they start 'talking'! All that cooing and baby babble. It is so much fun! You and Damon are gonna have a blast with her at Christmas!
Please give her a big ole hug and smooch from me, K?

Hey - Now, I KNOW I was already a 'FOLLOWER' but somehow it did not show me as one. That is REALLY weird!

Hello! Just wanted to say I found you through the Blog Rollers, and I'm loving your site. I'm still a new blogger so its great learning from folks like you.
I hope you don't mind, I added your button to my site!
That is a priceless photo. Make sure you get one with all four of you for the 3 generation shot. Tell Granny "Hi" and enjoy Ms. Baby Powder!
Yeah for grammies! Yeah for a little sleep! She really is beautiful!
love the details....even though I don't know you, I am totally enthralled and feel the warmth of your love and the joy of babies. Would love to see a video, especially of poo face!
I have that same changing pad cover. :)
Grandmas are the best. Mine is arriving on T-Day and The Mister and I are looking forward to having a date night.
I love the few AIO diapers I have (except when it comes time to dry them).
My husband told me that Lewis rolled over yesterday! He flipped himself and promptly started crying LOL. I'm sad that I missed it. He almost did it for me this morning during tummy time, but he was a little too focused on putting his fist in his mouth.
