Ghosts of Halloween Past
Saturday, October 30, 2010
The ladies over at SITS asked their readers to write a series of posts about Halloween. Today's topic is "Ghosts of Halloween Past." A Canon Rebel T2i camera is up for grabs. You know me. I cannot resist a challenge that comes with a prize.
I submit this photo of me and Marlie from last Halloween. She was just 3 months old. This was our first Halloween and naturally I wanted it to be special. Moreover, I wanted us to match. After much brainstorming, I came up with a garden theme to match her nursery. I found her a flower costume, and I dressed up as a gardener. Not to brag or anything (yeah, totally tooting my horn here), but we were a hit at the kiddie costume party at Damon's office.
I'm afraid that the praise went straight to my head because I have already planned our costumes for the next three Halloweens. I know she is going to hate me later and require a hypnotist to erase the haunting memories from her mind. But for now, I am going to have my fun and dress our family in themed costumes until I get committed or she goes to college. Whichever comes first.

Oh my gosh, that is the cutest mother/daughter costume idea ever! She looks like a little doll! Thanks for sharing-
I'm visiting from sits and just had to post a comment--so adorable!
Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello. It is nice to meet you. Your little girl is too stinkin' adoreable! I love the idea for the costumes, beautiful! I'm also a SAHM, and to this day, I say it has been one of the best decisions I could've ever made. Enjoy that little one, my two youngest just turned five, and the time goes by SO quickly. I'll stop by to visit you more often as well. :)
Now that is just the cutest theme ever! I love it!
Such a cute idea! You guys are both adorable :) Love seeing your big smile Teresha. When Marlie gets older, she's going to treasure all these posts.
That is so adorable!
I love the matching costumes.
One year, I was Alice in Wonderland and my son was the white rabbit. :)
Okay, that is just the cutest costume ever!!! I wish I had seen this earlier as I have a 3 week old and am having a hard time coming up with a costume for her.
You both look so adorable! I love those costumes. And you know, they're all going to need therapy because of something we've done. Theme costumes is the least of all our worries... Happy Halloween!
Just voted! Where did you get the Pebbles costume? I've never seen that one before! It's really, really cute :)
