Other happenings in Marlie's neck of the woods this week...
- She has noticed her shadow for the first time as the sun set in the sun room. She followed it around for awhile and then decided it was not that interesting after all.
- She is enjoying her desk, especially standing on top of it. The desk was supposed to help encourage her independent learning, but I stay busy keeping her from climbing on it. Maybe it was too soon to give it to her. This is on my list of things to discuss with her school director at our next parent-teacher conference.
- Her new teething necklace arrived on Monday and she has been sleeping so much better at night. Damon thinks a big part of the problem was her the bulk of her nighttime diapers. I agree that her new fleece soaker is a lot more comfortable for her (come back for my review and giveaway on Monday!). She tosses and turns a lot less.
- I sold some of her old clothes and gear at a new baby consignment shop. I used the money to get her a new winter coat, hat, mittens and some sweaters.
- I won a $25 gift certificate to Lollipop Moon from Baby Making Machine. I already know what I am getting...these metallic red mary janes for Marlie's Christmas outfit: SWEET!

Catching up on my blog reading, I fell way behind this week. The shadow thing reminds me, have you seen the You Tube video of the girl who is afraid of her shadow, which keeps following her, of course. My kids never seemed particularly aware of their shadow. Clearly, they knew about it at some point, but we have never gone through a "oh, what is that dark thing" phase. Glad to hear she's sleeping better!
What a wonderful time this is! It's so much fun to watch them learning at this age. I can't believe she is already over a year old, Teresha. You must be full of bliss.
LOL at Marlie having a more active social life. She is growing up so fast. Wow--maybe time for another one? LOL
Those Mary Jane's are ADORABLE!
I don't have girls and am not planning on having any more children, but I really want those adorable red Mary Janes! How cute!!
I bet she is adorable noticing her shadow!
And yes, my kids have been much more socially active than me since they were born.
I need to seriously think about consignment. I have so many things with tags still on that Lewis never wore! The thought of another baby in the future makes me hesitate though...
I love how we have all these big plans for our little ones and they turn them on their head! Standing on the desk instead of scribbling LOL.
Christmas outfit...hmm.. So far, I'm planning a pair of red footie pajamas with buttons on the seat for Christmas Eve night. :)
Lol@ keyalus I'm planning pj's too. We don't do christmas dinner. My dad makes a huge christmas breakfast and we sit around in our pj's all morning.
Jas likes to write but soon after she starts writing she eats whatever she's been writing with lol.
Isn't it funny how fast things DON'T interest them anymore? Lol they move on so quickly.
Those will be the cutest little shoes on her feet!!! I can't hardly wait to see a pic!
