What else went on...
- Marlie is really figuring out electronics. She knows how to put my computer to sleep and will press the button if I leave my keyboard too close to the edge of my desk (is she trying to tell me something?). The cutest thing though was when she found one her dad's tools and tried to "fix" her boombox with it.
- He new copycat gesture is calling the dog. She has seen me call him inside by making the kissing sound and now she does it.
- She is starting to form sentences or make commands. She says "shut up dog!" when he starts to bark and "bye, daddy!"

LOL! At least she is so cute she can get away without smiling! Miss V just recently learned how to smile on command, but rarely looks at the camera. Even if she turns her face towards the camera, her eyes are looking at something else, so it looks really weird. Needless to say, I didn't have a lot of good recent photos to choose form for X-mas cards.
She doesn't feel like smiling. Just wait until she starts playing on it too. My daughter knows how to shut the computer down properly. From closing all windos to start....

I love the picture with the coordinating outfits and the huge beautiful tree!
She is still adorable even without the smile. My daughter went through the same thing. She wouldn't smile and would instead bury her head either in the crotch of my pants or my armpit or some other undesirable area. Then it's the awkward smile phase where it's nothing but teeth.

"Marlie is really figuring out electronics." Very funny! Alyssa figured out electronics by taking apart the VCR. We figured we better give her more opportunities, so she assisted with fixing the microwave, replacing the dryer belt, making furniture, fixing the hose on the washer, unclogging the sink, etc. It was much better that she learned to "assist" instead of venture off on her own to "fix" things that were not broken!
