- Marlie has adjusted to the daylight savings and is sleeping on schedule again...maybe it was the spring equinox
- We have lift off on the potty learning! After months of giving us clues, Marlie sat on her pot and made a little tinkle. I am still searching for cotton training pants that will fit my peanut. We are ready to get out of diapers!
- We went back to the pediatrician on Thursday for the weigh-in...dun, dun, dun! Marlie gained a whopping 1 lb. 3 oz. in one month. I knew she felt heavier, but I was not expecting that big of a leap. So her doctor was right about giving her extra calories. I did it my way though with whole nutrition (homemade smoothies packed with fresh fruits, veggies, and blended with protein powder), not some can of sugar water and synthetic vitamins. win-win-win!

The first day of spring was this week, but it's hot like summer here in Dallas!

Is this the first time that you've given Marlie a smoothie? I've been thinking about making some for the kid but I wasn't sure if he was ready yet.
Potty learning already? Yay! It gives me hope. Not that I don't love our fluffy butt, but it will be nice to end this phase. Probably just in time to have another one in diapers, right?
What did you mix in the smoothie for Marlie? Cedella has gained NO weight since her last appointment and I'm sure we're going to get the same response from our Doc.
That is soooooo cool that she is interested in using the potty. My older kids varied a lot in when they potty trained (ages 18 months - 3 years). Miss V has absolutely no interest in potty training and gets upset if I even mention it. Plus she doesn't understand when she performs different bodily functions (she'll say she pooped when she just farted or peed). I pray she'll potty train by age 3. Even my oldest, who has Asperger's, was fully potty trained by age 3.
Go Marlie with the potty training success (and weight gain)! I've introduced Lewis to the pot but he seems more interested in putting his foot in it than anything else. Sigh. Wait, the other day he actually sat down on it - backwards SMH.
Right now, I'm working on getting him to recognize that he's actually soiled his diaper. Baby steps...
It feels like summer!? I'm jealous! Has she been eating more too?
I just blogged about that potty stuff. I'm not ready! Lol
Good job on the weight gain. Jasmine made it to 22lbs our last appointment on the 11th. She was stuck at 21 since december.
I applaud you for not giving her crazy things to increase her calories. She has to be so much healthier your way:)
Not having to buy diapers will be one of the happiest moments ever! LOL. Way to go Marlie... sounds like she's doing great and growing so well. And smoothies... YUM!
