Marlie and me took a quicky trip to Miami at the last minute to visit my family and for her to meet by brother for the first time who I haven't seen in three years. Yes, it was expensive. Yes, traveling with a toddler while pregnant was exhausting. Yes, there was drama (because my family can't help but drive me crazy). And yes, I would do it again.
Here's why:

| To sit on my hefty, pregnant butt and watch my daughter and her cousin "comb" my mom's hair :-) |

| To take my daughter to the beach |

| Only to have to turn back because jellyfish littered the shore |

| To hang out with my 5 siblings because that doesn't happen often. That's all of us...3 girls and 3 boys! |

Glad you had a good visit! I didn't realize that you came from such a large family. It makes me wonder what my family photographs will look like in ten years....How often will all of my kids get together? And will I be happier when they don't? :-) (My older daughters can really go at it - sometimes you'd think they were 8 and 7 instead of 18 and 17, hopefully things will improve by the time they are 28 and 27!)
Awww that's so awesome! Glad you made the trip...Marlie looked like she has a ball. Sometimes some experiences are pricey but really priceless!
What a wonderful trip and a blessing that she was able to do all of those wonderful things and meet all the family again!

It's funny, the first picture in the series really drove home for me how very much Marlie looks like you! She's like a little mini you!

Looks like a great trip! Can't believe it was nice enough to hit up the beach (minus those nasty jellyfish!)?! My freezing Michigan butt is jealous!

I couldn't and wouldn't imagine traveling alone with the kids and I'm not pregnant. I come from a big clan too.
