Wordful Wednesday: Here Comes the Son

In case you missed my tweets or Facebook posts, Marlie, daddy, and me welcomed a son/little brother on Monday, April 2nd at 12:47 am! Desmond Charles is 6 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches of deliciousness!
I will post his birth story as soon as I get back from a little babymoon. Meanwhile, enjoy these first photos:

Goodness, he is soooooooo adorable! I could eat him up! Marlie definitely doesn't look too convinced that he is a good thing in her life! :-) I wouldn't expect that from her. "Go With the Flow" is not her middle name (neither is it Little Miss's middle name). Little Miss tells me she wants me to have another baby and I say, "But then I will have to hold the baby and play with the baby and not be able to hold and play with you as much. Is that what you want?" And she gets this look of horror. Of course, she is my only child who will not have a younger sibling and the only one to ask for one. While, also insisting that she doesn't want to grow up and that she is just a baby. She'll see babies and say, "There's a baby, just like me!" Anyway, I'll stop blathering! Take care of yourself and enjoy these precious early days!
You do good work my friend!! He's beautiful and what a gorgeous little family you've got. Hope you're getting some rest. Great big hugs.

Marlie may not warm up to him until he can play because he will be a sleeping, crying, eating, burping, peeing, pooing, attention hog for awhile. LOL
he's so stinkin cute I can hardly stand it. He looks just like Marlie did when she was born.
