Ralphie May: Austin-tatious. Do you remember the reality competition program Last Comic Standing? I forgot about it too until I saw Ralphie May's comedy special in my Netflix library. He was runner-up on the first season. You know how so they say it's better not to win the talent show? So true in Ralphie's case. I thought he was the funniest guy on that competition stage and he proves just how gut-busting hilarious he is in this comedy special. He rifts on everything from his pregnant wife to the ghost of Anna Nicole Smith. I couldn't help but do a spit take when he explained how he got away with naming his newborn daughter April June May. Heads up: his humor is off-color.

Don't all comedians use "off-color" humor these days!?!?! People seem to feel that throwing a cuss word or two (or ten) makes a joke that much funnier. And maybe it does... I certainly love going to comedy clubs and watching stand-ups. One time, a whole bunch of my friends went to one for a moms-night-out. I told my friends we shouldn't sit up front or else we'd get made fun of, but did they listen to me? No! So the guy starts asking us what we "do" and we all answer "I'm a mom." So he started going on that we obviously hadn't had a good Mother's Day (it just happened to be a week or two after Mother's Day), so we were staging a revolt. Fortunately, I had sat at the back of our table and was able to slump down really low so he didn't pick on me more, but my friends learned a big lesson about comedy clubs - don't sit up front unless you want to be an active participant (just like with Shamu)!

Seriously? He named his daughter April June May?
I am not a fan of him..but I like last comic standing!

Never heard of him before but then again I think I saw maybe 1/4 an episode of last comic standing ever.
