- Oakland. This is a city of natural wonders. The Bay is to the west, the hills are to the east. Inside are Lake Merritt (pictured. where everyone goes to get their walk/run on) and Lake Temescal (where everyone goes swimming). Did I mention the Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve for hiking? I am thankful everyday that we moved here. Photo credit: c) David Corby (User:Miskatonic) 2006 under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.
- The premiere of "Totally Biased" with W. Kamau Bell on FX. Damon's cousin has his own late night talk show produced by Chris Rock that airs tonight 10 CST/11EST on FX. I promise you this brother is hilarious. I'm not just saying that because he is family. Check it out.
- Jamaica. The land of my grandparents and parents celebrates 50 years of independence and dominating the track events at the Olympics. Two cool things to be thankful for! Glad that you're loving Oakland! I can't wait to hear more about it, as we actually haven't spent that much time there. We sometimes visit our friends, but just stay in their immediate area.
The Jamaicans are killing it on the track...so exciting!! I saw the commercial for the new show....it did look funny!! Happy Thursday!
Ahhh would love to catch the premiere but we don't have cable so I'll have to check if I can get it online . . . Congrats to Jamaica! I spent a month there in college and LOVED it.
I am loving that my hubby and baby have been napping together long enough for me to get some blogging done!
So glad youre loving Oakland. I always thought it would be an amaZing place to live.
Gonna do my best to watch the show online. No cable for us sadly :(
And, JamAica represent!! They have been doing great!
Great list. I have been enjoying the Olympics as well, completely glued to the events. Jamaica has been Rockne it! I have never been to Oakland, I will have to make a plan to visit :-)
Wonderful things to be thankful for , Teresha. You seem to be so happy that you moved there. That's wonderful
Oakland sounds beautiful and I'll look for Damon's cousin's show. Not sure we get it here.
