My Giveaway
Worship music is dear to me and I don't get to listen to it nearly as much as I'd like to. Thankfully, Kyle Sherman's debut album Hear Me, is now in rotation on my iPod.
Hear Me is a Christian Rock album with a soulful edge that will appeal to a wide range of worship music listeners. The title track is a soul-stirring spiritual, but my favorite song is "The Greatest Tear." It has an 80s sound (lots of guitar riffs) and the lyrics are powerful. Kyle's voice really shines especially on the chorus:
God turned his back, and he looked away.
and I believe a tear rolled down his face.
and he must have cried the greatest tear ever cried
....for love
I shed a tear the first time I listened to Kyle sing about the Crucifixion from God's point of view. Another favorite of mine is track #7, "Build It On The Rock, " which is more of a funky gospel song with it's pipe organ intro and back-up choir on chorus. It's jump-up-out-of-your-pew-and-clap good!
I think Kyle Sherman has a long musical career ahead of him. Mark the album release date October 9th on your calendars and be one of the firsts get your hands on it!
