One of the hardest things I had to do when I adopted a green lifestyle was to give up my favorite brand of makeup. It was chock full of chemicals that were bad for my skin and the environment. I stopped wearing makeup for awhile until I learned about natural and organic cosmetic lines.Mira Mariu is a natural cosmetics line that uses Bontical-based formulas. The company was kind enough to send me several of their Perfect Finishing mineral makeup products: Mineral Primer, Mineral Cream Concealer and Mineral Cream Foundation. The makeup does contain some natural plant ingredients like Camellia Sinesis Leaf (White Tea) Extract, shea butter and aloe, but they also include parabens (a controversial synthetic preservative).
Now let's talk about efficacy of the makeup. I cannot tell a lie...it's amazing! The primer is the key to a smooth makeup application. The concealer hid the dark circles under my eyes and a couple of dark spots on my cheeks. The cream foundation matches my skin tone perfectly and didn't leave that line of demarcation between my jaw and neck. I was left with a smooth canvas that I really liked! If only Mira Mariu switched to a natural preservative, then I would be in complete love.

I am so impressed that you would change your makeup (or consider stopping using it). Man I don't know if I could go there. Mira Mariu seems like the best of both choices.
My daughter uses this and is very impressed with it. I love it is so natural looking when applied.
You mentioned something that no one talks about- our fave products are not all going green! I too have tossed products in the past year that weren't natural during my pregnancy. I am happy to find another brand to add to my list of products to try, thanks!
I've never heard of this brand before, but I like that they have more than just a mineral powder--I tried that a couple years ago and it settled into all my fine lines and made me look older! Love that there's a primer. I don't wear a full face of makeup, but I may look into this line for the products I do use regularly (like mascara and blush) once I finish up what I have.
Haven't heard of this brand before, but I like the way it looks on you. And the natural factor is a big deal too. More and more I find myself leaning towards those products over similar ones I previously purchased. - Katy
I think it is so important to know what we are putting on our skin and in our bodies. While not every green product is going to be great for everyone there are so many great ones available now. I love knowing that a well known brand of cosmetics is also healthy for my skin.
I haven't been using makeup recently because of how it makes my skin feel once it comes off. This looks like it might be a great solution and I love that it's botanical-based!

I can see the difference in your pictures. I was just thinking that I need to get new makeup. I only use it on the weekends right now. I decided to make it a weight loss goal, so I will be checking them out in a few pounds.
I've been hearing about mineral makeup for a couple of years and I would really like to try it. Mira mariu seems like a good brand to start with. The prices seem a lot lower then some of the other mineral make up brands.
I can see the difference for sure...not that you look bad without the foundation, but your skin does look smoother. I have super fair skin that gets pink easily...I'd love to try this to even out my pink.
